Work. Honour - And Prestige

Watching an early episode of a talent show, and seeing a contestant and her pop, and a judge too, in tears about how school children taunt one amongst them - about the father doing what they consider "beneath"! as if children shoukd have any such concepts - brought, this time, an onrush of thoughts, puzzled and protesting.

We went to the US style community schools that were designated by locality, and while we knew some of us had pops who had ranks higher than others, as evident by the number of rooms in the house allotted by the government (this being probably leftist style), our equations at school were far more about who gets along with who, and even academic prowess played a far smaller part than any other considerations.

That children so young, not even teens yet, should have such contempt for honest work, is abominable. And yet this happens precisely at the expensive schools that are supposed to be often run by institutions, such as church, that profess equality, should tell the whole story.

For too long has India been subjected to values that are, not only not of India, but completely false. One such issue, related to work, has far reaching roots and threads, to do with culture and history and traditions of India, and the false whipping of India indulged in by various powers that sought to break up India for not merely sadistic pleasure taken in such pursuits by such powers, but - of course - for all the benefits they expect, once India is broken.

For it hasn't been easy, no matter what false propaganda of centuries used to tame the subjects into slavery. Other cultures took much less being wiped out by the dominance of Rome or by the onslaught of the conversionist powers, and they were the ancient cultures India knew in antiquity. Egypt, Persia, .... wiped out in less than a century except in name, and here still remains India - not merely in existence but alive and vibrant. And her own self. Despite the conversionists attempting to shame India with lies, false theories, propaganda. Despite every Macaulay. Despite every other culture imposed on her.

One such aspect, a major one, has been about work, position, and prestige accrued thereby, usually mistaken for honour or lack thereof. And this has far reaching connections every which way one looks.

India has always had a caste system based on categories of work, but they always were categories separated by the character of the vocation - intellectual work, physical power related work, trade and consequently wealth, and crafts. The higher castes, as a rule, were not richer, but quite the opposite. And the top two were not allowed to charge for work, or to refose services if someone could not offer much, or anything at all for that matter.

It's the colonial regimes that brought their own caste systems and in addition created new ones that together were used by the said regimes in order to establish and entrench the said rule, and they formed the vicious castes, fraudulently labelled class, that stayed on, while Indian styke caste system gets whipped every possibke opportunity.

Hence the disrespect meted out to someone who is respected world wide, but constantly reminded by political opposition in India that he used to be a tea vendor as a young boy. 

Hence the tears of a judge at a music talent show because her sister was taunted - at an elite school she went to, where her pop sold snacks outside the school, and couldn't move much further because it was a small town. Not that a few miles would change the mindset that did this taunting. 

For, such mindset is based on the premise that, short of being a British royal, being as high as possible on the rungs of various ladders towards that peak is the prestigious thing, while any honest work including not only trade but also professions such as medicine or science, are low, unless they are mere hobbies, or bring in tons of money without need to actually work. 

Feudal landlords therefore are high in this as are those titled by the British, but a chef is only goid if holding a certificate , preferably from West somewhere. The alternate rung of prestige is, of course, the administration - and since this is vestige of the era when as part of the administrative services one woukd be on the side of rukers, not subjects, that explains the obsession for "jobs" with very angry disdain for entrepreneurial opportunities created by a new government that has cut through every possible red tape.

I recall a classmate who, last time we saw one another, was still not out of primary school, but was helping his pop deliver coal, which we rarely used but were having it that one time, don't remember why. I was startled to see him, and began to realise much. 

Of all the classmates I recall - and one was always there until we both finished our college, as she reminded once - him I remember with a pinch at heart. 

I wouldn't have taunted. Would never have occurred. But then, nor would have any other schoolmates, I would think. Such a behaviour would have brought eyebrows raised at the very least, and a disdainful clamour one could bet safely - "who does that one think they are?" 

And that, in short, would be giving it a short shrift.

Isn't there a case in court about several women molested at the congress session, women members of congress who were attending the session, Corsica 2009 or so, involving presence of the current president of congress? Arnav Goswamy stopped discussion about it on one debate recently because the case is in court.

Main difference is about a church priest being a comfy job with permanent tenure and free housing, and institutional backing all the way when such a case is exposed. Saadhu, on the other hand, no guarantee of food or shelter, and no single institution guarantees anything. It's pretty much like travelling beyond Haridwar in Himaalayan regions versus driving in Swiss Alps.

In India it might be written into the constitution which is bad enough, but check out "Spotlight " which is true story about a Boston newspaper breaking the scandal about rampant paedophilia in church, especially Roman Catholic church, and see how the fear and pressure was used deliberately to silence most people, until this newspaper played opposite, pretty much breaking the story to the public. Try counting the number of countries where these cases have come to light, it's on screen at the end just before credits roll.

Forces Behind Encouraging Separatism In India

This article focuses on question of supposedly economically better off states being separatists, and also ignores the ills of the feudal political mafia of bimaru states that have done very little for bringing them back up. Migration of middle class and aspiring suits the said feudal mafia of the poorer states, since the land thereby belongs to few, as was achieved in Kashmir too via enforced exodus of minority via jihadists.

Once, ports mattered, and hence the three major - two coastal and one river trade suitable - British era main cities of India, while major cities of other states saw turn down from once rich history. But that has changed since. If Bangalore can, so can half a dozen cities each in every state, provided corruption is wiped out.

As for the separation of South, the false theory.

First and foremost, South India is not equal to tamilnadu, nor do they lead it - that's a misconception accepted for convenience by North and others, and this megalomania stems chiefly from the days of undivided Madras province before independence.

British support and encouragement of Madras above all others at expense of all others, was due to the victory in 1857 that was helped by Madras regiment.

Reality, every state has different character, and while similarities exist, it's not that different from the situation in any other region. Punjab and Kashmir are not same, Rajasthan is different from UP and MP,  we can do this with every bunch of contiguous states out of 28 or 29 that are. That's a large number, so we'll leave it at that.

As to separate confederacy of South so to speak, jinnah was the one who publicly spoke in Madras encouraging them to separate, and to know that they are nothing like northerners,  which is as silly and false as it gets.

So lot of them in Tamilnadu keep talking, hateposting etc about how northerners think southern people are dark and they are fair.

Not true.  This idea was fostered by Brits along with racial separation of India in North and South. Just like the now proven false theory of Aryan migration, so all invaders and colonial enslaving was justified, fraudulently.

North knows only too well the reality of plenty of dark indigenous northern Indians; and the only reason tamilians ignore that there are plenty of light coloured skin, eyes at al amongst tamilians is an obstinate ignoring of reality, in favour of hate theories that were pushed by Brits and jinnah and political parties like dmk.

In short, this whole thinking about fracturing India is of India destruction origin. Diversity exists, yes, and that's the beauty of this rich land. Fracturing into races, you might as well claim concrete separation of oceans.

Fraud To Take Over India, Not Funny

Indian people shouldn't take these lightly as clowns and morons. There is a streak of lumpen goon that's not just Sicilian but far worse, it's the whole axis DNA of one and half DNA axis heritage of the other, that repeatedly goes after power in India, just to rob as thoroughly as they have been over decades.

Neither, it's a safe bet, are even citizens of India - there is no record of either surrendering another passport, but there are records of them having them, and in case of the son, he did claim British citizenship on his tax returns filed in U.K. while he was already an MP in India; this, apart from his Italian passport used to travel to Harvard when he was arrested in US on arrival, due to not declaring the thousands of dollars in cash he was found carrying.

So beware, India! This is not funny.

Their abusing the PM of India and lying isn't funny.

Their attempted bill during UPA decade to reduce Hindus to slavery and enable the powerful minorities to send any Hindu to jail just by accusation, isn't funny, not to be taken lightly.

Now, his henchmen are demanding that bill in favour of their castes! But they abuse the PM Narendra Modi of India, instead of being happy about his rising to take over governance - not funny.

Small correction - IST is not Porbandar longitude, it's Allahabad, which is as close to central as can be, taking the landmass into consideration. Various countries do have clocks set ahead an hour in summer, so either a half year of shift or a complete shift isn't so disastrous.

 I was quite sincere! Do tell about your home region, as much as you like. We might not quite be able to see everything in this life, but believe this, India's love of Himaalayan lands and India's integral relationship with history isn't a cliche - and we do recall Arjuna marrying princesses from North East, two, whose progeny was then on very much part of main stream. For that matter, often South too feels North unawareness, but it's a large country with so much diversity, that's precisely why it's so lovely. Can't say one knows every part, who can! But every time one sees another bit, its always wonderful.

Respect for government job, disrespect for others not flaunting limos, are attitudes that belong to colonial caste system inherited from outside India by slavish mindset.

Shobha Chaturvedi, you are imagining that the migrants from UP working in Kashmir in lowly jobs - not IAS or comparable - are from your background, and their parents were forcing them to study but they were keen to watch tv or text friends. Much more likely, the parents couldn't afford school and had a hard time making ends meet, else the sons wouldn't be sent to a state hundreds of miles away, at border and torn with strife, just to make ends meet. Have sense.

More jobs in Kashmir than in UP, sounds funny, but far too many more unemployed and poor, rural and needy, certainly, and too, illiterate. Bimaru states are called so for good reason. If they were promised factory jobs in Kashmir, would they be secure enough to say, no thanks? And then they'd find, too late, the real work! At gunpoint, too. Very interesting in two separate ways, of which the obvious is mentioned by Mr Arun Jaitley here - that the emergency machinery was set up prior to the publication of astrological prediction, else why suspect the astrologer of having inside information? One, those that use invoking constitution as holy book forget that it's amenable and only as good as the motives of those that wrote it or can amend it. India had the infamous 42nd amendment during the emergency, and a few more draconian amendments and bills proposed during the recent UPA regime would have had the majority terrorised with threat of an accusation by someone putting them in jail without habeous corpus or any other help, for ever, as long as the accuser was of a powerful minority. Needless to say this proposed bill did not include a possibility of, say, a Jew or a Tibetan or a Parsi or a Buddhist , Jain or Sikh accusing someone of the more numerous minority!

About RK Jr Playing Sunju

This was written in comments about a post on FB and comments below, about the biopic on life of son of RK heroine, with grandson of RK playing the protagonist, that was the most recently blockbuster hit latest in the kitty of RK Jr.


Most comments are missing two points about the film and the subject, one each.


To begin with, people flocked to see and loved the film, chiefly due to the unspoken obvious factor- the grandson of RK portrayed the son of his heroine. People haven't forgotten the pairing, no matter how much the underworld tried to wipe out memory of one by badmouthing and ignoring, or how much it became unkosher to think of the other except as social worker and MP.


And the RK grandson - yes, there are three others, but only one with his name, and complete name at that - does have the grandpa's unparalleled level of artistic talent inherited, and he has shown the similarity by his choice of films too, from beginning.


But the substantial point is also the difference between someone truly evil vs someone who broke the law and chose to pay the price, as the protagonist of the film did. The film fraternity knows this, hence their love for him. He could have remained abroad as a safe fugitive, taken citizenship of US due to marrying his first wife, but instead chose to return and face law. Did time in prison.


His guilt wasn't murder, it was technical breach of law, possession of a weapon he acquired illegally due to fear for safety of his family during the riots, when his house was vulnerable and threats over phone from both sides were frightening him. If he had a thousand such guns in Texas he would only be paying fine for not having a license, if that.

Addiction fighting isn't easy, he has done it, but let's leave it at that - most smokers are not just addicts, they are giving cancer to everyone else around, and yet no one calls it murder! Real point is the last but, so think about the Mumbai film industry and ask yourself, who is not in fear of a phone call from across ocean, to threaten or to order a murder? Think about various films, various shots, locations, names. Why did KHNH have to be set in N.Y. and shot so much with missing WTC background? Why the title Veer-Zaara? Why do perfectly sensible producers and directors use people from across border who are quite easily replaceable? And so on! Look at the roaster of capable artists since last three decades, and ask why only some get to be everywhere, despite daunting talent of others who struggle or vanish - the latter include not only some sons of established fathers, but not the community promoted by overseas, but also some of the said promoted community who aren't as favoured. Anyway, you can see your last point was trying to indicate one grain of sand on the beach, which in fact might not be the sand.

Truths About Rohingyas

Even as this was written, reports about rohingyas atrocities against Hindus and Buddhists of the region - Arakan, now Rakhine - were startling, with mass graves of hundreds killed by rohingyas Muslims coming to light. Moreover, the handshake between the LeT and the rohingyas, former planning to use them as tools and latter with their own plans, were too unveiled - by Let supporting their cause. Mind, the cause amounted to the rohingyas being settled in India, not being ferried over to the piece of India given over at partition for the purpose; this smacks of planned demographic changes across India by jihadists, for acceleration of ethnic cleansing of all others. India must be such a thorn in flesh if those dreaming of world conquest and control, unconverted and democratic in matters of faith as it still is, a millennium and half later. Most ancient civilisations fell befire the onslaught somewhere between a year to a century with their own, ancient, cultures wioed out of memory. Their scripts are gone, or unreadable.


As for rohingyas, them being ferried to J&K by buses and trucks for being settled, rather than remaining in neighbourhoods across borders from their region, was suspicious enough, and sure enough their suspicious role is coming to light in the case of murder of a little girl, generally tom tommed as gangraped by hindus in a temple. But the false case was badly planned, and the huge gaping holes in the story have done as much to expose the new stage of planned ethnic cleansing of Hindus, as have the opposite treatment given before and since then to the half a dozen real cases of Hindu little girls raped by mullahs in madrasas from western UP to Orissa and more.


Most debaters for rohingyas settling in India argue human rights. Most on the side against jihadist planned wiping out of India argue national security, and the real question is, all those islamic countries that are clamouring for the human rights, why not take them?

As for US, it wasn't so long ago that an old man, frail, visiting his son in US, was thrown to sidewalk and almost choked to death, and is hospitalised for several years, unable to function, because he was taking a morning walk and the policeman thought it was ok to do this, since the old guy couldn't speak in the local accent. No one in India justified any killing of anyone based on an inability to speak the local language. Much less so by a policeman.

Re "The report also mentions Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh's remarks against Killing of cows.", anyone eating a dog of neighbour's or even one's own would be automatically thrown into a correctional facility in US; and the laws across US that had horse thieves legally executed by hanging were only gotten rid of after several decades of dependence on automobiles having reduced need of horses for survival to zero.

Rural India does depend on cattle for survival and well being as much as US does on oil, remember Iraq wars?

So, unless it is an out and out racist stance which would not be new by West , it should not be difficult to understand that if laws and attitudes in West protect some species, similar vital dependence in another economy does so for other species - cattle for rural India is far more vital than horses and dogs were for hunters of Nordic latitudes .

Kashmir Ethnic Cleansing Conspiracy

Everyone and especially so in India are by now quite familiar with the case of a little girl found murdered in J&K, whereupon there was a huge uproar with name and photographs of the victim splashed everywhere in media, and huge publicity given to supposedly her body found in a temple in a village in Jammu, with specifics of the temple given.


The case did stink from the very beginning, as persecuted and frightened as Hindus of Kashmir have been for centuries even before the enforced exodus of '90. The news of the case being publicised fraudulently came out soon enough. The temple was never locked but with three different door keys being with different villages around, they routinely opened it with keys early dawn every day, and the three relevant days were of a festival with crowds filling the temple which is just one room with nowhere to hide a body much less conduct an ongoing physical assault.


What's more the first post mortem said there was no sexual assault, and there was wet mud on the body, which couldn't be consistent with the marble floor of the temple cleaned every day. And the boy caught and tortured to confess had plenty of evidence he was hundreds of Mike's away at the time in UP where he was writing an exam, where he is doing college. ATM and phone records testified to this.

A kid of 18 or thereabouts, grew up post 9/11, saw 26/11 and a whole decade of terrorist attacks against various states of India and against various other parts of the world by those that claim this was their holy war against everyone who does not obey their faith's diktat, he heard of a young high school girl being shot in head at point blank range because she refused to give up education to become a sex slave to terrorists, he heard of yezdi men killed in hundreds and women sold like cattle every day as slaves in both senses of the word, he began to hear of what happened in Kashmir to Hindus, ....., excuse him for his sensitivity, he's young.

Yes, he probably knows intellectually that not everyone would do it, but isn't sure if the next guy would kidnap his sister and mother, use and sell her off never to be heard of again.

There was that case of the guy whose wife with their two children were abducted from airport as they were about to fly to Muscat to join him, and he has been threatened to never return to India or else. Your son cannot have a replacement for a mother, so his fear is genuine, however articulated or otherwise.

And he is too young to be blase about covering up scams and worse with the fraudulent labels of secular, liberal, ..... he probably liked demonetisation too.

But really, bringing him up was up to his parents, not a political party!

Arnav Goswamy is raising pertinent questions, but they are far behind the facts as discovered and spoken of by Dr Subramanian Swamy, publicly, more than once.

For one, neither the current nor the ex president of congress are citizens of India, with plenty if evidence of their having had and used other passports but none of any been surrendered. So their political positions as elected MP in India are thereby frauds perpetrated on India.

Two, rg hadhad a grandfather even less known in India than Feroze Gandhi who is generally not mentioned by the family. As per information unearthed by Dr Subramanian Swamy this unknown or lesser known grandfather coukd nit have been the italian Mr Maino who was in Siberia as a POW during the relevant years, but could have been a German soldier, even an SS personnel, at a camp in a village of Italy at border with Switzerland. Which is quite dangerous in every way conceivable.

Jihadists have included a number of well educated persons with professional qualifications, born and brought in well to do families settled in West. Small corrections - One, Ashok Majumdar, it wasn't birthplace, but yes, immediate registration as citizen of Italy after birth due to the mom calling ambassador in Delhi, as per information by Dr Subramanian Swamy; that citizenship isn't surrendered, not as of his Harvard stint, and as per discovery by Arnav Goswamy team a year and more ago, rg personally claimed UK citizenship on tax forms submitted in UK while he was MP in India. So yes there is much questionable, in both current and ex president of congress cases, probably the rest of them too.

Two, Yash Pal Sehgal, everyone can sympathise with trauma of the little boy, but if that deserves PM position of India, you have to in all fairness either invent a few thousand copies of India or do a public lottery, for he isn't the only one with sacrifices for nation by family and trauma thereof. Let's begin with family of Lakshmibai the Queen on Jhansi, or better yet, Prithviraj Chauhan; go on till every Indian soldier martyred on duty through history is included. What are you blind in your feudal loyalty? Being PM of India or any other position private or public is about ability to do work, not family history, unless this is your non Indian, western style caste system, of royalty and aristocracy and landed gentry and loyal peasants. Not India!

offering PM position to jinnah was Gandhi's doing, I believe Richard Attenborough did his research and did not lie in his film, and congress habitually obeyed Gandhi even when they did not like it, as in various examples before and after independence. Avoiding partition might have avoided the bloodbath and had a stronger India. But really partition wasn't doing of the ancestors of current residents of pak, and jinnah merely profited from it. Reality, it was planned in finality the day USSR - and not US or UK - tanks rolled into Berlin, planned by Churchill, as per tarek Fateh - you should hear him. U.S. and UK needed a secure country with unfettered use of military bases, to be used against USSR, Jawaharlal Nehru refused to give such permanent bases in india, jinnah promptly said yes when asked, hence pak. Ever thought why he always refused everything asked when he was offered the exact thing? When offered PM position he demanded whole cabinet to be league! Jawaharlal Nehru has been wrongly blamed by some dissatisfied congress leader of yore for partition to equate him with jinnah. But as per very high spiritual authority he, Jawaharlal Nehru, was an honest, sincere man of good heart, whose soul is united with India after his leaving his body. The same spiritual source also suggested to congress leaders then to accept the alternative proposal by a British leader to avoid partition, but Gandhi was too egotistic to accept it, and refused it by saying those that did not work with him had no business making suggestion. There is much hidden under the usual story by congress, but targeting Jawaharlal Nehru or suspecting him is the usual easy - and incorrect, but safer - direction! Yes, he made mistakes, of an honest good heart, he ought to have had Bose and Patel with him, which was not to be because of Gandhi sidelining them and removing them from positions of authority they were elected to. The three together would have been far better. And as for Indira Gandhi, whatever her mistakes or faults, her rescue of East Bengal must count as stupendous humanitarian victory in face of heavy odds. She too had the same spiritual backing, but lacked the courage to go further and complete the task. One may question if return of the 93,000 POW without conditions was smart. The war criminals were promptly sent to execute the same mission in Baluchistan. There too India nade mistakes earlier, and those and other similar ones could have possibly been avoided if only India had the benefit of more than just one decent Jawaharlal Nehru leading, if only the wise and bold Patel, and courageous, intelligent Bose, were together with him.

Really it isn't about whose parent isn't Indian, much less about race - India has loved and adopted so very many who loved and adopted India with true heart! From Sister Nivedita to Tom Alter, countless, and more - but when a lie about citizenship and more is perpetrated and that too at level of those trying to be PM, it has gone too far. Ever wonder why there is so much attack against young minister Ms Smriti Irani, and even against PM Narendra Modi of India, re education? It's simply because the current and ex president of congress have been exposed in this regard too, apart from the citizenship question, by Dr Subramanian Swamy, and later by Arnav Goswamy team a year and more ago 're citizenship of the current congress president. Now there is a barrage calling him well educated! Hear them, and who sound not quite all there, or even lying, and who come across consistently erudite, true, reasonable and concerned about India? Former, always pushing rg, always against BJP; latter, those not branding BJP falsely! Being able to claim a certificate or show a thesis alone usually wont guaratee a position teaching in a good university, even, unless an interview by a panel of experts can see the qualities of the person claiming the education. By those criteria a very different picture is evident, one obvious to everyone who has heard the various people mentioned here. Funny, never thought then that one day one would come to think that the younger of the two sons of the then PM was not so bad, but the prospect of her grandson with half his DNA sourced from axis is far too terrorising. Jawaharlal Nehru had ruled, in case of the Holkar family, in favour of the descendent with purely Indian roots to inherit the title. Even if the position of PM of India were by inheritance, and it should not be, surely the rule should not be different?

Partition was inevitable once Cripps proposal was refused by Gandhi, unless the whole government were given to jinnah, not just jinnah heading a democratic government of India - he was firmly with feudal interests, they funded his league and weren't about to be part of democracy, and got high positions in pak just by handing over suitcases filled with cash. Do get over the propaganda against the good man spread by the interests that did not rue partition of India, only that of the particular minority, hence blame Nehru. Re An Article And A Comment, by Lutyen's And Fellow Traveller

This author, Shekhar Gupta, a veteran journalist, plays a clever trick in his article, "The holier-than-cow Indian liberal elite is actually Modi’s best friend and ally", of seemingly pretending to criticise so called liberals, self called that is, while assuming everyone sane is united in denouncing PM Narendra Modi of India in particular and BJP in general, and president Trump too of course.

"I might ask though how can you be liberal and yet have a vacuum-packed book of rules, behaviour and speech?" Duh, because the label is fraudulently self stuck by them like other labels such as secular, progressive, intellectual - and equally fraudulently, opposite labels are stuck on those not confirming, such as right wing or worse.

As for abusing trump, dare anyone do that to any bush or even Reagan, Nixon, Ford, Coolidge?

Trump is simply not of the club, hence ostracized. Republicans haven't allowed a decent guy to run after Lincoln,  with the only possible exception being Ike.

Abusing PM Narendra Modi of India is a convenient double edged sword, though, as obvious in this article if one reads it. Call him abusive names, and if he calls a spade a spade, publicise him as using the abuse or worse!

Gupta isn't that different from congress fellow travellers the Lutyen's left - should in truth be called leftovers. Of Macaulay policy products.

Some of the comments are typical and illuminating in their stance, especially if one doesn't fall for the diatribe or get lulled as intended. One has to read between lines and know enough to pick the stone that doesn't quite belong in the tray.

But at least, UPA understood the ground realities of Kashmir better than Modi does. We were able to forge a stalemate peace in the Valley. Given the complicated conditions and considerable UN pressure, you’d appreciate it’s not very easy. But, at least UPA leaders knew the pulse of Kashmiris and tried to patch a solution. You see during UPA-2, normalcy was returning to the Valley. Tourists had started filling in the houseboats of Dal Lake once again.

"Then Modi came in 2014 with his tall promise of ache din and everything fell apart in Kashmir. Today the situation in Kashmir is so serious that India may be at its weakest point in terms of exerting control over Kashmir Valley. It might take a long time for a future Congress government to clean up the mess created by an incompetent Modi administration. Modi has the habit of leaving a job half-attended. He is not a finisher. As we saw with demonetisation and other failed schemes. We don’t blame him. Modi simply does not have the level of experience required at running a complex country like India, and Congress simply has more influential people in its ranks to face the diverse challenges of our country owing to the experience gained in running the show for over 60 days. Comparing Congress (and UPA) leaderships with Modi is like comparing a Bollywood film made under the Yash-Raj banner with a two bit C-grade movie from somewhere down South. Hopefully, the people of India will realize the mistake they made in 2014 by giving inexperienced leaders like Modi the reins of food country. Who in their right mind would appoint someone like Smriti Irani to an important portfolio called I&B. Thankfully, she’s been removed now.

"One might argue that Rahul Gandhi isn’t very experienced either. Fair enough but one must also remember that he doesn’t have any personal ambitions to be PM. He’s pretty content being Congress Party President. It’s not an important issue for Congress Party who will be next Prime Minister. Congress as well as other mature political parties of India don’t believe in running a one-man/two-man show. Congress has always respected checks and balances in institutions and does not let the executive branch gain more power. Congress believes in Coalition Dharma. I think the real issue with present BJP is a self-proclaimed strongman as PM who mistakenly believes that he alone has the ability to solve all problems of India. We saw his boastful claims squandered on the curb during demonetisation and the recent Kashmir imbroglio. Modi is a leader who’s incapable of keeping his allies happy. You cannot expect bipartisanship from such a leader. He has no awareness of political protocols and winning support of opposition leaders. If he had any respect for the Opposition, he wouldn’t appoint a 10th fail B-grade actress like Smriti Irani to ond of the most important posts in the Cabinet.

"Being liberal or secular isn’t wrong in any sense of the word just like being conservative isn’t a problem as long as you’re not an extreme right-winger.

"One more thing, the liberal values of Congress Party in India are not the same as Democrats in the US or Labour in the UK. Indian liberals have no use for Gay rights, abortion rights, same-sex marriage and other unique Western political planks. Recently Shashi Tharoor drew some flak about speaking in favor of marijuana legalization but that’s not a big head ache for Congress party or any other political parties to the left of Congress km India.

"The issues of the Indian liberal are indeed very different. They are steeped in a uniquely Indian milieu and the main concern is about issues that affect the poor and the marginialized of our country. Here is a checklist for you.

"1- We Indian liberals care about the government offering free and subsidized education to all our citizens, particularly the vulnerable sections of our society. We are against the undue importance being given go unregulated private schools under Modi raj. There has to be a balance. Modi government does not believe in utilizing taxpayer funds to build world class schools and Universities. All the IITs, NITs and AIIMS were built under mostly Congress governments.

"2- Likewise, we Indian liberals believe in free or subsidized healthcare similar to most civilized countries.

Notice the false criticism, and the obvious entitlement to a monopoly of ruling the nation, justified as expertise in doing it - and yet not admitting that the landslide victory of BJP was due to two factors, including the proven governance by the then CM of Gujarat, but foremost being the frauds, scams and incompetence of UPA at everything including the routine terrorist attacks through India during the UPA decade.

Notice above all his abusing minister Ms Irani and harping on her supposed lack of education (which isn't proven but her speeches consistently prove the opposite), while ignoring the same lack of education proven in case of his own leaders with plenty evidence in speeches and more. Notice branding her as low grade actress while omitting exactly what his own leader of the UPA decade did prior to her netting the prize husband - Dr Subramanian Swamy who spoke about the frauds perpetrated by her said he was shocked when he found out, and wouldn't mention it, but people can find out. That doesn't say au pair or waitress or bar maid or dancer.

Notice the adroit non addressing the question of scams and frauds, including the citizenship related ones - neither the current nor the ex president of congress are citizens of India, since there is definite evidence they held and used other passports but no evidence of surrendering any. Notice calling themselves the expensive film while branding BJP as c grade film from South, typical attitude of feudal entitled brats there. Doon?
