Disinformation About Jawaharlal Nehru - Who Benefits?

There was a video on FB, by a young film artist, seemingly very confused about the various mutually contradictory information pieces, about the family and descendents of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first PM of India.

Internet, indeed, is teeming with some bits of information or disinformation, repeated enough, contradicting the official versions. Chiefly, my take is, one needs to sort reliable from unlikely, obviously true but officially lied about, versus seemingly incomprehensible campaigns, and ask if such campaigns are by mafia in order to blacken image of India.

Here is various pieces of my writings as and when I felt need to clear it for oneself. Most importantly, it's simply this. Quoting from one of the posts:-

"And this whole dust storm is obscuring the reality, which is the church, the fascist and - as per information by Dr Subramanian Swamy - possibly SS DNA backgrounds of the current ruling branch, which are the ones that would endanger India if not swept out."

There is, as she says, a great deal of mutually contradictory information, across the internet. Especially when it comes to the Nehru family.

The official version, so far, is that Nehru family was Kashmir Pandits with lands close to a canal, hence the name Nehru, and Feroze Gandhi was was a Parsi, his family from Allahabad, which is consistent with his first and last names.

While one need not cast aspersions on the sites or posts contradicting either of these, one might reflect on the facts about the various communities involved before believing an alternative theory.

Fact is Hindus, especially smaller communities such as Kashmir Pandits, are unlikely to accept someone unknown as one of their own, without proper information. And certainly arranging a match of someone unknown with one of their own daughters is the most unlikely scenario. So unless one wishes to go the whole hog and question the Kaul and Thussu relatives, one must stay on the official version side.

Same holds for the Parsi or not question. If indeed Feroze Gandhi was not a Parsi but a muslim, it would be extremely unlikely that his community and clan would be silent about claiming the children, and the grandchildren. The Parsi community on the other hand is small, shrinking, and in danger due to the shrinking genetic pool, with traditions and customs more akin to Hindus than to a conversionist culture, so the relatives of Feroze Gandhi being out of the picture makes far more sense if the family were in fact Parsi.

As for the "muslim" names of children of Gandhi-Vadra family, that makes sense if they are in fact Persian names, rather than ostensibly islamic (which in these times means very arabic) ones - Parsi is Persian, after all.

And this whole dust storm is obscuring the reality, which is the church, the fascist and - as per information by Dr Subramanian Swamy - possibly SS DNA backgrounds of the current ruling branch, which are the ones that would endanger India if not swept out.

And yes, falsification of reality with drama of Hindu facade via ceremonies published while other ceremonies and identities are kept secret, is unacceptable. But look in the correct direction, not the dust storms that are likely to be nothing more.

The Nehru family was not strong adherents of rituals for that era, which was characteristic of many westernised high society section families across India then. This was strengthened with Jawaharlal Nehru being educated at Harrow and Cambridge, and not conducting rituals at home. He did wish a Kashmir Pandit son in law, but other than that, did not have his grandsons go through Hindu rituals, as far as India knows. There was, however, no fraud involved, not with someone as honest, upright, proud and noble as Jawaharlal Nehru.

One can question if that is true after his daughter's generation. Certainly in case of the not so indigenous descendents, it would be prudent to be not fooled.

Load of nonsense, seems like, this video! And the real collateral damage done is to the cause that the video seemingly is made for, that of exposing the family, by this endless nonsense that stops short of the real frauds of the current and ex president of congress.

Are these videos being made by the Sicilian mafia serfs then, with an agenda of vendetta once they achieve power, by hook or otherwise?

As to the Nehrus being anything other than Kashmir Pandit, not likely.

Hindus, especially in the old days, did not so easily accept someone stranger as part of their own community, all the more so when it came to arranging matches. Nehru family is connected by marriages with Thussu, Kaul, and other clans, of the wives of brothers of Motilal Nehru. Kashmir Pandit community isn't that large, and that such matches werevarranged without proper inquiries of the antecedents of the Nehru family is not believable.

Westernised, urban rich part of India, of the British era, were less into keeping their traditions and more into looking at other thinking and adapting to the best of what they saw. Hence the education at Harrow and Cambridge instead of Kaashi, and law as career instead of Vedapaath and priesthood, for Nehrus - and the urbane smoking, drinking and so forth Jinnah in suits. Gandhi too was in western attire, during his law career, until he returned to India as a politician dressed in Indian attire of his community.

None of which amounts to evidence, much less proof, of any of them possessing a different identity.

The photograph in the middle 1:32 is of Jacqueline Kennedy while the voice speaks of Ms Naidu. JFK and Nehru were friends, enough for the former to have saved India in 1962, when USSR did not side with India. Using such photographs in context of allegations, especially inaccurate ones, with no evidence, is doing the accusers no good.

As for Mrs Mountbatten, her daughter writes extensively about the parents, their marriage, and their time in India. She was just as close to their friendship with Jawaharlal Nehru and was a part of it, and woukd have had no reticence mentioning an affair if there was even a whiff of any such intention, not even as a racism or colonial pride issue.

Not every relationship is either physical or of desire, just because it's not a blood relation.

The video goes into the Bachchan Nehru friendships 1:40, casting allegations. Even looking at the photographs, it's clear AB looks like the bachchan couple, and while the similarity with his mother is far more, the similarity of looks with his father the original Bachchan is quite clear, and not so with the first PM of India.

If there is a DNA report, and this video is not fraudulent, wonder how they achieved such a test, and why it wasn't published with scientific details, say for example in Time, Newsweek or similar periodicals.

As for Feroze Gandhi 2:17, same holds for the Parsi or not question.

Gandhi adopting Feroze Gandhi was not for name giving, the last name Gandhi - unlike Nehru which is rare, or Bachchan which is unique - is quite common and they just happened to share it. The so called adoption wasn't formalised by law, it was only word of Gandhi to get Nehru in a better frame of mind about the wedding.
