This debate on stage had a grandiose name much more fraudulent than the usual fraud they expected to expose, but they had not counted an encounter with someone with intelligence, thought, and wit, rather than the conversionist abrahmic insistence on faith. Interesting - the yt channel is "tehelka tv", opens with a threatening visual of a swarm of crows coming at the screen with raucous crowing, and then the screen - after acknowledging credit to a dozen or so sponsors for just a few seconds - says

But what is with these hosts and platforms who have this morbid need to misinform and mislead the unsuspecting general public by deliberately and pretentiously using names of engineering, algebra at al, while they are pursuing the agenda of breaking up India?
She speaks, making the debate seem like another fashionable stage thing amongst other topics such as films and art, but then the screen goes into another raucous series of crowing disturbing an invocation of Kaalie with a mantra rather well sung, and other stuff disturbing it! Did these people think this was theirs to do a free collage of sounds? Would they dare do this to something of another religion associated with an ex colonial regime, or a power West of India?

Javed declared, early on, that he will wait, and "finish". Fifteen minutes and more, and he comes in declaring "anything devoid of reason, .... that is faith".
He thinks 18:53 he defined faith and killed all those who have faith in anything, with that statement. Truth, while encompassing his words, is far wider. He just hasn't thought about it.
Faith is when anyone claims they know their blood relatives. As simple as that.
For, only a practicing geneticist with a laboratory of one's own can ever prove or disprove such assertions, to the satisfaction of the said geneticist - anyone else simply has to either take their words or conduct one's own experiments to find the evidence.
JV 23:10 uses gentle wit and Javed has no clue he was smashed! He responds by insulting personally - but gies too far when Shoma Chaudhury brings up Ramanujan and his mathematics via the drems of the Goddess who gave it to Ramanujan, and Javed goes "He was human, he couldn't have been right about everything all the time"! This, he doesn't realise, is putting himself above someone whose work he, Javed, could never hope to comprehend? His ego is really making him not merely abrasive but stupid. Funny thing is, he survives only because he faces someone who isn't using his power to retaliate.
Javed gets further abusive 26:50 describing "spiritualism is debris of faith", after having equated all those of faith with jihadist killers! So his stance has nothing to do with reason, but only to smash all faith and spirituality because of his own religion producing jihadists and sanctioning their despicable conduct, which he reacts to with an "if my religion is bad, I must insult all those who have anything that sounds like faith"!
JV, again, went far beyond 31:34, but it's unlikely the other has capability to comprehend, much less a chink in his ego to allow him to see perception better and higher than his own.
Javed gets abusive instead, attacks, and then 34:00 uses psycho terms with an analogy of a house for mind. Funny, but for his rigid stance of attacking, he woukd see his limitations, and folly of his arguments, immediately - through his own imagery! - For he'd realise that a house has air and space, and it's the walks that limit one's experiencing the air, space and more thats beyond the house everywhere.

Javed - whether deliberately or from stupidity - confuses 43:00 "why I am in this universe", the question that begins spiritual seeking, with the obvious "how was I conceived", bringing down the level of discussion as he has been doing repeatedly, whenever he speaks.

Akhtar dodged all questions asked by the moderator and tried to attack Sadhguru each time irrespective of questions asked. Akhtar appears sweating, frustrated, lacking counter-arguments, on the verge of being abusive to another guest - to which moderator had to tell to maintain aesthetics and "do not indulge in personal attacks". Pity you Akhtar and the organizers, next time go with your mind and manners to some other program coz its beneath the stature of an intellectual to debate with a fool."
